Naturopathic doctors typically take much longer for their appointments with you and make sure to dig into the root cause of your symptoms. NDs want to empower their patients to create a foundation of health rather than suppressing symptoms. Naturopathic doctors will prescribe herbs, supplements, acupuncture treatments, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, and phototherapy to promote optimal wellness.

Yes, we do TeleHealth Appointments through a HIPPA Compliant service called Better Health.

While many people may have an inherent fear of needles, acupuncture needles are very thin. Most people do not feel the needle go in and feel either sleepy and calm or very energized. There may be some local “achy” sensation at the needle site (which is a good thing!)

ND’s will order labs as a tool to evaluate your health and to give a reference point for the work you are doing. Labs may or may not be covered by insurance.

NDs ability to prescribe pharmaceuticals varies by state. In the state of Kansas, we are unable to prescribe medications. We can, however, recommend lifestyle changes, herbal recommendations, homeopathy, provide acupuncture treatments and hydrotherapy.
